Ancient Mythology

Ambisagrus | Celtic Mythology

Ambisagrus was a Celtic god worshipped by the Gauls as part of Gallo-Roman religion. The Romans identified Ambisagrus with aspects of Jupiter.

Ambisagrus is likely a later version of Taranis, a Celtic thunder god worshipped in the Iberian penninsula, and among earlier Gauls.
